"Mom will be relieved that you don't hate her." said Hayley. "But that last part will hurt her."
"You don't think I'm hurt by this!?!" you asked, pointing at yourself. "If she does this to me, thinking I made you cry, what would she do to me if I got into a fight at school!?!"
Hayley shook her head, she did not know what to say to that. Mom had jumped to conclusions and lost her temper, leading to you becoming changed into a ten year old girl. Worse, she suspected it was a permanent change. "John, mom regrets what she did." she told you. "I don't blame you for not wanting to talk to her right now but please... don't shut her out forever."
Just then, Megan came in with the denim skirt she had mentioned only, to your unpleasant surprise, it was a pink denim skirt that was covered in embroidered with glass beads that sparkled whenever the light touched them. "You are going to look cute in this, John." she said.
Hayley grinned, seeing it, then walked to your closet and pulled out a small pink shirt with glass beads on it that read, 'princess' on the front. You moaned seeing it as you had bought the shirt for Hannah the other day as was planning to give it to her later on. "Do I have to wear pink?" you asked.
"You agreed to wear a denim skirt and one of your shirts." said Megan, smiling. "You did buy that pink shirt and you did not specify what color skirt."
You let out a humorless laugh then turned away, muttering, "I should have worn the dress!"
