Hayley decided to sneak away, knowing that if she interfered now, you might not be as willing later to allow a gender transformation or try magic. She decided to instead watch you from a distance and jump in only if she sensed you were at risk of injuring yourself or bringing about a permanent change. She quietly walked away and found mom in her study, looking into a crystal ball. Seeing her, mom waved her over and urged her to close the door. "It will be fun to see how John handles this." amused, Hayley whispered.
"Mel and Hannah have already been told about real magic as both of their flames appeared a day before your return from witch school." smiling, mom said. "I have forbid them to tell John or to toy with him when he finds out until they have some training from us so I'm interested in seeing how they will react to their new sister."
Back inside your room, you heard Hannah and Mel walking passed your door. She seemed upset as she was talking through tears. "It's not fair!" wailing, she said. "We worked so hard!"
"I know, Hannah but what can you do?" trying to be comforting, Mel said. "You need another ballerina to be able to run the recital tonight and Erin can help it if she caught the flu."
You winced, knowing how important the ballet recital was to her. In fact, you had helped her practice at home so you knew all of the moves by heart. Turning to the mirror, you moaned at the seven year old girl staring back at you. "Don't give me that look." pouting, you told your reflection. "If I offer to help, Mel and Hannah will know I've been playing with magic."
Inside mom's study, both mom and Hayley smiled. "She wants to help Hannah but she's afraid what would happen afterwords." with a loving smile, mom said. "I know my 'daughter', she will offer to help."
Hayley giggled. "I agree but I doubt she will let on that she is John." smiling, she said.
"We'll see in a moment." giggling, mom replied. "She's opening her door."
Inside the hall, Mel and Hannah turned to see a seven year old girl walk out of John's room. "Who are you?" surprised, Mel asked. "What were you doing in my brother's room?"
You blushed brightly. "Hey, Mel... still want that true twin?" nervous, you asked.
Mel's surprised look turned to shock. "John!?" walking up to you, she asked. "What happened!?"
"I- I accidentally changed myself." being mostly truthful, you replied. "I'll be this way for about twelve hours."
"You changed yourself?" stunned, Mel asked. "How did you manage that?"
"He can dance at the recital tonight!" her tears turning to joy, Hannah exclaimed. "Please, John, say you'll dance with my ballet class! We all worked so very hard!"
Inside the study, mom and Hayley giggled, glad you could not hear them then continued to observe as you Mel spoke. "Easy, Hannah!" scolding, she said. "This could be serious, John should not be able to change himself, boys can not work magic."
You blushed more then said, "I'll tell you how, Mel and I will help you with your recital, Hannah but there will be one condition...."
"What's that?" curious, Mel asked.
You sighed. "You both must promise..."
