Goes to the place of his work

    by: WillyTheKid Author IconMail Icon
Felix walked to the department store he worked for. As usual, the place was a ghost town. This was because their boss, Steve Billington was set in his ways. His brain was stuck in his favorite era in time the 1950s. He never bothered to find out what the latest trends were and because of this the store barely turned enough of a profit to remain open. Any attempts to suggest modernizing or even refurbishing the store were met with strong resistance. The only time they saw any major activity is when someone needed appliances of clothing for a retro photo shoot or a Halloween costume. All of this did nothing to help the employees morale. So much so that the workers spent most of the day sniping at each other just pass the time. Felix shook his head and sighed in exasperation until he felt himself bumped from behind by someone. When he turned around it happened to be his best friend and "work-wife" Kristin. Save for their work time, the two of them were practically inseparable. They even went to the same bar after work, where Kristin basically acted as Felix's wing-girl. Whenever there was a cute girl at the bar she constantly encouraging him to get up the nerve to talk to them. She even went up to one or two herself to hype up Felix to them. They also spent their lunch breaks together talking about anything they could think of. He was oblivious before, but now that he had acquired his god powers, Felix realised that Kristin had a crush on him. He had feeling for her as well but wasn' sure how to express them. And if they did become a couple working at this place wasn't gonna cut it. Then he had an idea.

"How's it going Kris?"

"You know how it is Felix, another dead ass day, another dollar."

Felix grinned.

"No lie. Don't you wish Billington would get a clue and change this place around. Actually get some REAL customers coming in here?"

"That would be great. But you know full-well that man's head is as hard as a cement block. Nothing is going to change his mind."

"Well maybe I should take a whack at it."

"Do it Felix. Tell that old dinosaur it's time to get with the times and start putting some REAL money in our pockets!!"

"I like how you're thinking Kristin!! That's a great idea!!"

Kristin laughed.

"Yeah. Good luck with THAT. Anyway, I needed a good laugh to start my morning out. Let's get to work. Ugh!! I HATE those snarky bitches in my department. "If you looked like a woman, instead of a middle schooler maybe you'd have a man!!" "Still using band-aids as a bra??" Piss me off..."

"No Kris, I mean it. I'm going to give Billington a piece of my mind!!"

"And lose your job in the process. Don't be stupid Felix. Don't make waves. We both know we're too smart to be working here. Let's do our jobs and at lunch we can start looking at the want ads."

You have the following choices:

1. Felix goes upstairs to confront the boss

*Noteb*
2. Felix decides to wait and talk later with Kristin

*Noteb*
3. Something else

*Noteb* indicates the next chapter needs to be written.
