The woman sighed, turning to the left.
"...I have to...?" The gardevoir stated, her hands sliding behind her back.
"...You have to be apart of my team." The girl nervously stated.
Said Gardevoir gasped, flinging her arms to her side.
"No, no, no and NO!" The gardevoir snapped again, as she attempted to walk off.
The girl grabs onto the Gardevoir's arm, sniffling a bit. "Oh please?! I have literally no friends! They all think I'm an ugly blob!"
The gardevoir stopped a bit, turning to look down at the girl. Now she felt...awful. She felt bad about snapping at her! If she was that much of a loner, then maybe all she really needed was a friend. The gardevoir lets out a sigh, helping her up.
"Alright..." The gardevoir gives in, "I'll be apart of your team...but no pokeballs."
The girl sniffled and snobbled, getting up, wiping a few tears from her eyes.
"Y...you mean it?" Her eyes lit up.
"Yeah. I'll be your teammate." The gardevoir smiled, patting the girl's belly.
"T...That's...great! I...never had a...friend before."
"Oh I can tell...so where's this...Tournament?"
"It's in Vanilla City, in the Bashing Bowl. It's hard to miss, really."
The girl leads the way, as the Gardevoir followed behind.
"So...how come you didn't freak out that I talked?" The gardevoir questioned.
"I've seen weirder." The girl admitted, turning over to the Gardevoir. "By the way, the name's Liz, you?"
"Erm...Gardevoir." The gardevoir admitted she really had no name.
"Well, I can come up with a name for you if you want." Liz said with a smile, wiping away what leftover tears there were from her outburst.
The two walked on until they got there, the moon was in the sky, as the Gardevoir was snacking on what Liz offered her. Liz lets out a yawn, as she opens her bag.
"Whacha doin'?" The gardevoir leans in to look at what Liz was doing.
"Setting up camp so we can get some sleep." Liz states as she pulls out a ripped up tarp, "Aw crap, this thing's ruined...must've packed it wrong."
The gardevoir starts thinking up a scheme.
"So...is there another place we can sleep tonight?" The gardevoir questioned, chewing off a candy bar's tip.
"We could find a hotel, hopefully there's something cheap but comfy." Liz was about to go on about how hard it would be to get a room for a hotel, until the Gardevoir shushed her.
"I got an idea..." The gardevoir gives a devious smirk, running off for a moment, as Liz followed.
The two were in the downtown area of Vanilla City, as the Gardevoir starts rummaging through Liz's bag, pushing aside items and TMs until she came across it. That thing she sees every trainer carrying nowadays.
"What are you doing with my phone?" Liz nervously questioned as the Gardevoir pulls out the phone.
"How do you work this thing and what's the most rocking sounds it can make?" She states, putting the phone in Liz's hand.
"What the heck are you going to do?" Liz asked, concerned about the Gardevoir.
"Well, we need that money stuff, right? So..."
