With that wish and Tommy out of the way, Nate now has nothing to worry about with him trying to get these candies and potentially make any irresponsible wishes.
However, he doesn't have any time to hide them away when Kate comes into the room. "Hey Nate how's it going? What's that you have there?" she asks in her sweet melodic voice which melts Nate's heart.
Flabbergasted, he tries to explain what they are to her without revealing too much. "Oh uh...these are special candies." he says.
This causes Kate's interest level in them to rise as she starts moving closer to Nate, wanting to know more about the candies. "And what is it that makes them so special?" she asks.
Nate tries his best to keep his mouth shut but using her feminine wiles, she is easily able to make him crack. "They're special candies that allow you to make a wish when you put it in your mouth." he explains.
Now Kate really is intersted in them and reaches down and snatches the bag from his hand. "Really? Let's give it a test then shall we?" she says as she unwraps one and puts it in her mouth. There were twenty in there before and now there's 19.
