This choice: The building Zero was on started to shrink. • Go Back...Chapter #5Counterattack by: Unknown Suddenly, the building started to sink into the ground. But there was no rumbling or shaking. Confused, Zero looked over the edge of the roof. The base of the building was fine. But strangely, the ground around it seemed to move away. Finally, he realized what was going on. The building was somehow shrinking. Even worse, everyone on it was shrinking as well.
"We have to evacuate, quick!"
But unfortunately, there were no knightmares on the roof. They had to walk all the way down and the building was shrinking at an alarming rate. A loud booming noise accompanied with a rumble woke him from his thoughts. Looking behind, he saw two giant, white boots. His gaze wandered up to eventually find C.C.'s expressionless eyes.
"C.C., how...?", he started. But the green-haired girl grabbed him and Kallen, who had already shrunken down to a few inches tall. "I am not affected by Geass, remember?" With that, she just jumped down the building, which by now was only a few meters high. She then quickly ran behind the rebel's lines. Finally, Zero came back to his senses. "Damn, why haven't you been faster." A stare of C.C. silenced him. At her size, she was pretty intimidating. "Be grateful I wasn't slower."
Zero looked back. The building had stopped shrinking and was not much bigger than C.C.'s boots. If he were still on there... Behind the empty place where the skyscraper once stood, Cornelia's massive form rose into the air. "Hm, maybe I should have targeted a larger area."
Zero cursed. "Damn! I can't let strategy loose against the sheer power of one person. How can we defeat a power like that?" The question was aimed at C.C.. The green-haired girl seemed to think for a while before answering. "That is a form of Geass I thought could never exist. I'm not sure how it works, but maybe... maybe I could at least create a Geass that can counter it."
Zero nodded. "Fine. Then give it to me." The witch shook her head. "No, that's not possible. You already have one. But she can have it." C.C. looked at Kallen. The redhead looked at Zero. Her eyes told him that she was willing to accept it. "Ok, Kallen. I believe in you." A thunderous "Ahem!" caught his attention. "Oh, and in you too, C.C.!"
The mark on the green-haired witch's forehead then began to glow as she bestowed Kallen with the new Geass. "Ok, try it out." Kallen's Geass glowed and slowly, she and Zero grew bigger and bigger. After a short while, C.C. had to place them down and eventually, they were back to normal. "Excellent.", Zero said enthusiastically. "Now, bring her down to size." He pointed at Cornelia who had now reached the rebels.
The purple-haired goddess lifted one of her white boots. "Time to die, bu-uh?" She started dwindling in size. Loosing her balance, she put her foot back down and took a step back. "No way!" Her Geass was glowing again and her shrinking stopped. "What's going on?", Zero asked, looking at C.C. She looked at Cornelia. "The Geass' are interfering. Kallen uses her Geass to reverse Cornelia's growth, but simultaneously, Cornelia uses her Geass to grow again." Zero thought about that. "So as long as Kallen keeps this up, Cornelia is stuck at that size. Fine, then we have a chance now! All rebel forces, ATTACK!" indicates the next chapter needs to be written. |
