As the storm rolled through the town, thunder and lightening randomly attacked anything they could. Henry's house was one of those that got the full treatment from a direct hit on a nearby electric line that raced along it and into the house. Fortunately, the house wasn't directly hit which could have set it ablaze.
However, it did send a severe charge of electricity into the house which snuck through the ground and ran along the water lines and into the kitchen and bathrooms where it discharged its energy, part of which went right into the bathtub and shower where Henry's skin suits were curing. Like the primordial soup of a billion years ago, the suit goo reacted in the only way it could: it came alive.
Since they weren't yet fully completed, the skin suits remained still in their birthing molds waiting to start their evolution - an evolution that would soon be intimate with these young student scientists.
