Finally, it was my day to shine. Being the only child of my familiy, I was next in line to the throne my parents currently occupied. Today was the day when I would be officially reconized as heir, the day in my life that I had been waiting for since I was born sixteen years ago.
I was only slightly nervous when my hand-maiden clasped my hair up in a criclet braid on the top of my head. The feeling of butterflies encompased my bowels, strangely, because this is truly wanted. My dress, hand made for the occassion, brought out my icey, sharp blue eyes that everyone complimented so often. Knowing that I must look confident for my (soon to be) people, I brought a grin to my face, looking as poised as possible for a moment like this.
Hearing a knock sounding at the door, both my hand-maiden Elizabeth and I were startled. "Come in."
