“Shhh!” She placed her hand over your mouth and whispered into your ear. “You signed up for this, whether you were aware of it or not.”
“But that doesn’t make it right.” You say through her hand.
“I know it doesn’t. But what else can we do?”
You thought for a moment, and gently pulled Fran’s hand off your mouth. “Have you ever watched this old show on Cartoon Network called Tower Prep?”
“No, why?”
“Its premise was similar to our situation, but with super powers instead of new bodies.” You explained. “The characters in the show secretly plotted to escape their school.”
“And did they make it out?”
“No idea. The show was cancelled after its first season.” You shrugged. “But that’s not the point. They met in secret to plan their escape. We can do the same thing. There aren’t any cameras in here right?”
Fran seemed to think over your words. Eventually, she stared directly into your eyes…
