Examining the other items.

While books and games are interesting, they're hardly unique—you could buy that sort of thing at any normal store. No, what make this shop special are the other things that line the shelves and tables. You decide, therefore, to return to the low table you saw earlier and take a closer look at some of the strange items.

Reading the cardstock label, you discover that the fine-looking silver pen is apparently called the 'Historian's Pen.' "Write with unerring accuracy!" boasts the card. "With the historian's pen, you need never make another mistake in your writing! Use with caution."

Next to the pen, the small vial of black powder bears the label 'Lust powder.' "Having trouble romantically?" asks the card. "Simply sprinkle this powder on yourself, and the next person you touch will suddenly find you absolutely irresistible! Use with caution."

Finally, there sits the gothic-looking choker, labeled 'Collar of Mind Control.' "Tired of disobedient underlings?" asks the card. "Just place this collar around someone's neck, and make them slave to your every whim! Use with caution."

In addition to a reiteration of the warning to "use with caution," a small sign promises that all products will work as advertized or you will receive a full refund. You're still skeptical, but the outlandish promises are just too enticing to ignore. If they don't work, well, you'll just come get your money back. If, on the other hand, they really are magical….

Thus decided, you turn your attention back to the display, faced with a difficult decision: which item should you try?

You have the following choices:

1. Buy the Historian's Pen.

2. Buy the Lust Powder.

3. Buy the Collar of Mind Control.
