The reason for your infatuation is obvious: while she's hardly the prettiest girl in school—even without her blocky, unfashionable glasses her face is 'kind of cute' at best—even the oversized, baggy sweatshirts she always wears can't conceal her exceptionally generous bosom. So far, she hasn't returned any of your romantic overtures, but she has in the process started to spend more and more time with you and the gang. The collar might be just the thing to make her a little more receptive, and you're confident she'll agree to wear it; as a stalwart advocate of empirical science, she'd happily don the collar just to prove to you that magic doesn't exist.
