It was a late Saturday evening as Mikey was walking down the streets of New York in disguise heading home with DVDs in tow that he rented from the movie rental store. Mostly consisted of B-rated horror old flicks along with new sci-fi films.
However, he came across an odd looking pawn shop called Madame Hex's Crafts and Trinkets. He was curious to see what was inside, and still had some money to spare so he didn't see the harm to at least to spend on small item from here. As he entered, he saw many things from dream catchers to very old books that looked like they're form Medieval times to crystal balls. The one thing that caught his attention was a weird looking pendant that combines both the male and female symbol. His eyes stared at the object for a long time, but it emitted a quick flash of light that snapped him out of the trance. He looked at the price, and saw that it was pretty cheap for about 7 bucks. For reasons he didn't know, he was very compelled into buying it.
He then purchased it from the owner who was a small shriveled up old lady wearing a purple robe and holding a staff. As he was about to leave, the owner said, "Be careful." ending with a slight hoarse chuckle. "Weird." was all Mikey said.
It was nearly 10:00 PM when he arrived into the lair. His brothers asked about what he got from the rental place, but after learning that it wasn't anything of their interest, they just went to their rooms to go to bed as Master Splinter already had. However, Mikey was going to stay up and watch the movies all night in the living room. He popped in one of the movies, kept the volume down so it doesn't wake up anyone, and laid on the couch. He pressed play on the remote as he watched a zombie alien movie.
He then all of a sudden remembered the pendant. He reached into the bag that held the movies, and dangled in front of his face. The weird symbol started to glow a bit, and stopped for a split second. He also remembered the weird lady's final words to him as he left the store, but he thought that it looked harmless enough, and since no one else is around, he decided to put it around his neck.
