Suzu led you and your heavy-set companion down the hallway, her shoes clacking with every step.
"There is plenty of history surrounding this mansion, you know. Why, in fact, you uncle inherited it from his father, your grandfather. As it seems, your own father declined the inheritance. But anyways, this building itself began construction in 1922, as a home for-"
As Suzu went on, you felt a nudge on your shoulder.
"Hey. Y'wanna take a shortcut?"
"Well, it'd be kinda rude to just-"
"Oh rude shmude. Suzu knows where we're going. Besides,, you really don't wanna be around when Historian Suzu comes out."
You bit your lip in hesitation and cast a gaze at Suzu. The toned woman looked ever-forward, occasionally castoing a sideward glance, yet never behind. She probably wouldn't notice the two of you slipping out.
"I guess so."
"Great! Come on, let Mika give you the grand tour!"
The obese guard grabbed your wrist and rushed off, practically dragging you along. Despite you being in much better shape, there was no question Mika was much quicker than you, despite being double your weight.
Finally, Mika stopped at a wooden door marked KITCHEN- EMPLOYEES ONLY.
"Should we really do this? I mean, it does say-"
"I'm an employee too, aren't I? I have as much a right to be there as anyone else!"
Withiou any chance to respond, Mika opened the door and quietly stepped inside.
The kitchen was rather vast, stoves and ovens and all sorts of ingredients took up the space. Your guide on the other hand, seemed pretty fixated on one thing. The bowl of cookie dough on a nearby table, the batter covered spoon dipped within.
"That's an easy way to get salmonella, y'know."
She ignored you and grabbed the spoon, licking the dough off, rubbing stomach as she did. Once finished, she deposited the spoon in a nearby sink and opened the door to the dining hall, where Suzu stood, visibly annoyed.
"Licking the spoons again, Mika?"
Mika exuberantly slapped her stomach and showed off a grin.
"Guilty as charged!"
Suzu shook her head, yet there was a hint of a smirk there as she finally addressed the other women in the room.
"Now onto introductions."
