Sai lead you out into the hall. You were impressed by his ability to navigate the halls.
"I'm Sai, your tailor by the way."
"I don't need a tailor," you reply before you could think better of it.
Sai looks at your outfit skeptically.
You decide to change the subject. "I still can't believe this is real." You say.
"Haha, I bet." Sai nods and bounces, "Your uncle was a good man-say!" He looks at you with bright eyes, "Did you hear the rumor?"
"No?" You reply.
"Well-" suddenly Sai bite his lip, turning coy, "No, I shouldn't tell you." He teased.
"Ah, come on, don't leave me hanging!"
"Alright." Sai replied, breaking easily, "They say the old man gave the rest of his fortune away to the old staff-well sans Taiga of course."
Your momentarily shocked to hear that Taiga was a part of the old staff, but Sai continues before you could question him.
"See the old man split gave them the other fifty percent. They're all filthy rich now! Of course, most of them had moved out by the time I moved in." Sai replied sadly. His voice took on a more conspiratorial tone, "Except for the old chef," he grinned like he'd hit the gossip jackpot. "He stayed on for a month to get Ryu-the new chef situated." Sai's eyes got wide, "and he was huge."
"Oh?" You said trying to hide you embarrassment.
"It's gets better!" Sai said with glee. "See first I though, okay nothing weird here, never trust a skinny chef after all. But then I did some snooping. Turns out the old chef was only here for five years, and when he came on." Sai snapped his fingers, "Skinny as a rail."
"Oh." You say, beginning to blush.
"Must have gained 500 pounds!" Sai sighed, "I could only find before shots of the other's though. No afters. Isn't that weird though?"
"I guess, so." You reply.
"Oops! Almost at the dining room!" Sai rushes ahead, "Well take a short-cut through the kitchen okay?" He burst through the door and you follow. There you find...
