It was another day in your apartment. You had a stressful week at work. Business had been slow and your psychotic ex-boss decided to fire you today once she came by your station and handed you three months of severance. You worked a car mechanic at Crazy Jill's Auto. You were hoping to eventually start your own business, but Crazy Jill insisted that you would receive no more than $12.50 per hour. It was decent, but unfortunately it wasn't enough to pay off your trade school loans. As soon as you received the severance money it went to paying off the remaining balance on your loan. Now you had another problem. You had to pay your rent today or your landlord will kick you out of the apartment.
Mr. Jeremy Strouge was a peculiar man. He expected all rent to be paid on time without exceptions. Without your pay and severance you were sure to get kicked out. As you know Mr. Strouge isn't known for his patience. One time he lost his temper when another neighbor of yours called him a heartless Hellbeast, just because the neighbor was trying to find a new job. The neighbor was 6'8" and a personal trainer. Mr. Strouge was a very short man at 5'3", but clearly a man who worked out a bit too much, since the built up that he built up from working out cause him to be extremely moody.
Standing at 6'3" and having an average build you feared what your rageaholic landlord would do once he shows up today to collect the rent that you don't have. You gulpped as you heard a knock on your door. You slowly approach the door and open it cautiously just in case your landlord is in an extremely bad mood. However, once you opened the door you saw an albino woman standing at 5'7" and sporting a small pot belly. She was wearing a maid's outfit and sunglasses. The woman feigns in fear after getting a glimpse at you. You weren't intimidating, but you were definitely taller than the average guy.
"It's okay. I won't hurt you. Let me guess Uncle Bill finally died and now I'm going to inherit his vast fortunes."
Kate timidly nods her head yes.
"Awesome! Now I can leave this cursed existence!"
Your cheer of excitement startles Kate so much that she bumps into your former landlord.
"What's the big idea! You better watch where you're going if you know what's good for ya!"
"Hello Mr. Strouge. What can I help you with?"
"You can help me by giving me the rent you owe today."
"About that... I don't have the money right now, but I'll give it to you ASAP."
"What! You either give me the money now or I'll kick you out!"
"I guess I'll just pack my bags then."
"Good for you bub. When you're done get outta my sight and don't come back!"
Mr. Strouge stomped off, clearly in a terrible mood. You see Kate trembling in fear. Judging by her reaction she had never seen anyone with an extremely short temper or she had a terrible dating experience that caused her to barely anything at all.
"It's okay Kate," you said as you looked at the name tag pinned to her shirt. "We'll head to the mansion and never see that scary man again."
Kate leads you to the limo. Once inside Kate drives the limo to your late uncle's mansion. Uncle Bill's mansion was like something out of a science fiction film. It was large and it was cover in high tech solar panels and had a turbine to convert water from the lake in the backyard. Also any any dirty water was filter and purified before returning to the lake. You look at your new home in awe. Who would of thought that you would inherit a mansion in Tennessee. You and Kate walk up to the mansion and open the ornate hardwood door. After entering your new home...
