Stephan had finally had enough of his school. The mind-numbingly dull lessons, the patronising teachers, the dumb kids - especially the older ones who thought they could push him around. But no more! Things were about to change and the Principal's announcement meant that everybody was neatly collected in one place.
Instead of going to the hall Stephan headed out through the entrance. He walked to the school gate and turned round to look one last time at the various buildings outlined against the sky. Then there was a flash as Stephan clicked his fingers and exerted his power once more. In an instant all the buildings had vanished; all that could be seen now was a neat rectangle of earth, several hundred feet across, where the school had once stood. Stephan climbed down and strolled lazily across the exposed soil. His keen eyes picked out a small object sitting exactly at the center of the rectangle. He reached the little thing and stood over it, positioning himself so that he had one foot on either side of it. The soles of his sneakers dwarfed the tiny object completely.
It was the school. The little cluster of buildings, along with the playground, car park, and sports field had been reduced to a size not much bigger than a postage stamp. The whole thing was easily small enough to fit comfortably in the palm of his hand. And inside were roughly 1000 teeny people.
