In search of a mate

The diaspora of the Chameloid race had almost ended it. Chameloid's naturally assumed the forms present in their surroundings and rarely revealed their true forms to anybody. Spread out across the Galaxy, imitating hundreds of species, the Chameloid race generally struggled to recognise fellow Chameloids.

Levels of Chameloid reproduction had fallen drastically. The problem had only become worse as the numbers of your race dwindled.
