... nothing were there, the day continues

Ranek surveyed the empty savanna before him, and sighed. Nothing interesting over here. He lingered a moment longer, hoping for something, anything, but soon resigned himself to the dull company of his peers.

Later that evening, Ranek rested in his personal quarters, starved for entertainment. Such was often the case for him. The meerkat could never find pleasure in the routine activities of the day, and the fantasies his mind supplied were, he feared, to... bizzarre to ever come to fullfilment. Therefore, it was of no large surprise to himself that he found, in the privacy of his home, his paw slipping lower, and his mind turning to darker, more taboo thoughts.
