When Bobby awoke the next morning, he knew right away that something was odd.
First of all, his eyesight, crystal clear the night before, was completely shot. He could only barely make out shapes and colors.
Second, he noticed that something was missing from his mouth: His teeth. As he smacked his tongue around his mouth, all he could feel was his gums.
When he looked over to the dresser next to his bed, he saw in his blurred vision something that resembled glasses. As he reached over to get the glasses with the hopes of being able to see better, he noted that his body felt much more stiff and tight. He finally reached the glasses, and managed to put them on.
The first thing Bobby saw were the dentures sitting in the glass of water that was sitting on his dresser. Then he noticed the wrinkly hand that belonged to him as it moved away from his face. As Bobby looked in the mirror across the room, his impossible fears were confirmed.
He was now an old man.
Bobby stared at his wrinkled face and body and his balding head with only hint of white hair left upon it. He look like his grandfather.
