Starring back at Bobby in the mirror was fluffy, tail wagging, athletic Border Collie. Bobby just couldn't believe it. When Bobby moved his head, the Border Collie moved its head. Bobby lifted up his hand from the ground, and the Border Collie did the same. Aunt Marla wasn't kidding... this really was all magic!
"Oooh! You're gonna be a Border Collie! Well, that means you're probably really gonna want to play some fetch later. But I'm sure you'll have fun being my pet! Say, I didn't even think to look what your name was gonna be." Aunt Marla said, leaning down to look at your collar. "Bandit. What a lovely name for a Border Collie."
"That's not really gonna be me, is it Aunt Marla?" Bobby said, watching as the dog in the mirror barked.
"To the rest of the world, that's what you already are. And soon, you'll forget all about being Bobby. You'll learn to embrace your life as Bandit. At least for today. Then, it will happen all over again." Marla said, patting Bobby on the head. Bobby was worried at how good that made him feel.
