Kira could do nothing as she was tied up by the dridder. Kira closed her eyes in fear as she swayed from the single strand on silk the dridder kept in her hand, letting Kira sway by and get a close look at her exposed torso. After that bit of fun the dridder went off on her eight spider legs to her home.
Kira opened her eyes when they reached the large cave the dridder lived in. Webs covered every surface, designed by the dridder herself to her liking. There were about dozen semi-cocoons like the one she was trapped in now, and about nine of them had people in them; another was even occupied by a lady elf. She seemed to be the only calm one; some of the captives wept in despair, others begged for release, and others still were too frightened to even speak.
The dridder fastened Kira’s cocoon to the webbing, conveniently next to the elf before heading deeper into the cave.
“Welcome to the ‘Spider’s Lair’ as I like to call it. My name’s Aziya.” The elf said.
“I’m Kira. Wh-what’s going to happen to me?” Kira asked nervously.
“That depends on what Violet, the dridder that caught us all and lives here, decides to do with you. She may keep you as you are like a trophy, she may use you for her sexual pleasure, she may keep you as a slave, or she may eat you. I was the first being she caught when she was first hunting, so she’s kept me as a memento of that day. Since that day I’ve watched her build her home and have seen hundreds of people come through here, but none of them have left. They’ve all been eaten or died whenever Violet was too rough on them.” Aziya said.
Kira didn’t like the sound of any of those possibilities, especially the salve one. She’d just gotten away from one cruel overlord, she didn’t want to be under another.
“Look on the bright side, she placed you near me. That may be a sign that you’ll live a relatively long time here.” Aziya said comfortingly.
“I hope you’re right.” Kira moaned.
For several days Kira nervously anticipated the time when Violet would do something with her, but that time didn’t seem to be anytime soon. Violet would come by every-so-often, but only to gaze at Aziya for a time before leaving. During those days Kira and Aziya became good friends.
But one morning Violet came to their area with plans in her mind.
