The stranger

The man wears a sword, but he doesn't look much like a knight. In fact he looked dirtier that Goerge, and that was saying something.

"What can I do for you, sir?" Raven replies, dropping her voice an octave in an efort to sound more masculine.

Goerge simply stares at the stranger, uncertain whether to defend his sister, or step behind her.

"I am looking for Kane. Have you seen him?"

Raven glances at her brother confused.

"We don't know of anyone named Kane. Sir."

Throwing a coin onto the floor, then he smiled.

Raven steps back.

It's not a pretty smile.

"That's for you. You see him, tell him Draken was here. Got it?"

Raven nods.

The man pauses, making sure his message is clear, then steps outside.

Goerge runs to the coin, scooping it up, and biting it, like his Pa always did, uncertain if the way the coin bent between his teeth was good or bad.

Raven steps to the door and glances outside, but Drakken had vanished from sight.
