At the end of recess, they both re-entered the classroom.

"Did you enjoy your first recess?" Mrs Hathaway asked. Elena nodded and returned to her seat. For the entire of the lesson, she couldn't help but stare at Kyle. Could he be her friend? She considered asking him to come to her house later and the thought remained with her. Finally, the bell rang, signalling the end of class for lunch. It was now or never she thought.
