As you focus on your hand the matter that was once the chair swirled around your hand as you started to prepare to punch him then on the moment you leap to pound him in the face the matter contracts around you hand and turns to a living metal gauntlet. The punch landed squarely on his nose snapping it and knocking him out cold. You landed gracefully on the table behind his unconscious body as the matter on your hand got absorbed back into your skin.
Just at that moment Dr.Cambell walked in and saw Jacob dead to the world on the floor with a broken nose and you on the table, needless to say he was angry, you had and day in exclusion* and you also had to write a letter of apology to Jacob whilst he got a week off school.
You decided to train your power. As you had already figured out you manipulate matter down to a level almost unknown to science. The main decision you had to make was how do you train. So you went to your room and laid out some objects from around the apartment on you desk; a small metal ball from one of your brothers play sets, a book that you didn't like, a few smelling ornaments and a banana. You touch the book first then focus into your hand and out into the book deconstructing it on a molecular level then absorbing it into you.
You decided to start to try and do stuff with the matter you collected. First you tried making a sphere of carbon as you though it would take less than most and you were right when you envisioned the sphere and kept the elements name in my head, it made a large round black ball floating above your hand. But you had a better idea.
*a room for kids who have been especially misbehaved to operate outside of the general student body often for a day or two.
