As Superman flew back to his apartment, he looked down on the rest of the city. The sun was setting, making everything have an orange-yellow glow to it. The streets were flooded with cars and windows on skyscrapers and apartments began to light up.
Reaching his apartment, Superman heard a loud gurgle rumble from below. "What was that?" Superman asked himself out loud. He flew lower to the ground, curious to see where the noise had come from. Another loud rumbling noise echoed through Superman's ears. He looked around but saw nothing that could produce that sound.
Superman flew to a tall building and landed on it. He stood still, waiting for the noise to occur again. As he stood Superman began to feel tingly in his body. It started in his stomach and spread to his legs and arms. Superman looked down, confused about what was happening, and noticed that he looked slightly bloated. Confused, Superman reached down to touch his stomach but heard a loud bang from behind.
Superman turned around to see what made the noise preparing to use his powerful abilities. A pigeon had flown into a shed on the roof and flew away. Superman sighed and turned back around and waited for a few more minutes, but the noise didn't seem to occur again. Superman decided to go home. "Probably just the wind," he suggested and flew to his apartment.
Entering his home Superman turned on the news and lay down on his couch. "This just in! Superman has saved the world again from Lex Luther and his subjects." Said a news reporter. A video of Superman stopping a missile from hitting Metropolis was shown. Superman smiled in a cocky manner. "Although the missile was stopped some have said that Luther still has some other things in plan." The news reporter continued to talk.
"Idiots." Superman sighed. "I destroyed his entire lab how could he be planning something else? God people are stupid." Superman began chuckling to himself and rested his hands on his abs. But instead of feeling his rock-hard muscles Superman was greeted with what felt like jello. Looking down Superman noticed a bump pushing out over his belt. "What the?!"
Superman jumped up from the couch and felt his stomach. It was bigger than usual and was pushing off his belt. Superman ran to the bathroom and examined himself in the mirror. A small layer of fat covered Superman's torso. "Where are my abs?!" But Superman's abs weren't the only thing affected. His thighs had thickened slightly making them rub against each other and his crotch. Even his butt looked bigger. "My super metabolism should have stopped this! I gotta do something!"
