It was another day in Metropolis, and Clark Kent was just waking up at exactly 7 AM in the morning. Sitting up in his bed, he stretched his limbs, the muscles on his glorious physique bulging outwards as he did so. Getting out of bed, Clark proceeded with his usual morning rituals, which began with starting a pot of coffee going, turning on the TV to listen to the news.
"...to tell us about the unusual space activity is Dr. Hamilton from S.T.A.R Labs." Lois Lane held her microphone towards Dr. Hamilton.
"Yes, recently we've observed a cluster of sun spots acting up and creating solar flares." He replied.
"Does that mean we'll need to expect some interference and malfunctions with our electronic devices and so on?" Lois asked.
"I see you've done your homework." Dr. Hamilton smiled. "No, unlike normal solar flares, these ones seem to be a bit...unusual."
"Unusual? How?"
"Normal solar flares emit electromagnetic pulses which, as you said, disrupts our electronic devices. However, from what we observed, these flares are not sending electromagnetic forces, but a different kind of energy we have yet to identify. For now, we'll observe it carefully and see what kind of effects it has on Earth."
"Thank you Dr. Hamilton. This is Lois Lane reporting, back to you."
What kind of effects indeed. Clark frowned as he mentally took in the what Dr. Hamilton said. If the sun was acting up, who knew what kind of effects it would have on Superman, whose powers came from its rays?
