Take the lamp to your room

Deciding the lamp is worthy of closer inspection, you carry it upstairs with you, trying to hide it slightly, in case your Mom follows you. She is - after all - busy telling you all sorts of rules for while they are gone for the extended weekend, even while you climb the stairs to your room. You are at least giving the perfunctory, "Okay, Mom...You got it...Don't worry." as replies while you quietly close your bedroom door and lock it behind you.

Once in your room, you sit down and examine the strange lamp more closely, attempting to rub it the same way that you had earlier, when the genie introduced herself to you. You coax and plead to it, "Genie of the lamp, please return to me!", but with no results.

1. Continue to examine the lamp.

2. Something Else.
