After breakfast you decide to swing by about the baby sitting job. It's a bit of a trek to get there, with a bit of walking and a change of buses, but it's not too bad and you figure that if this doesn't work out you won't have lost much compared to the other options on the table that would have you sat slaving over application forms for hours. It's not hard to find the place and it's almost the last before leaving town. Had you missed the last stop you have visions of riding off to some big city over the horizon. Even though you know there is a gas station not too far where it would have pulled in and you could have easily walked back.
Gathering your courage and rechecking the advert to ensure you have the right place you head up to the door and knock. You stand there waiting not sure whether you should knock again. Maybe you should have called ahead instead of just turning up on their door.
