You can't see any reason you would need to go again before the end of the journey, but just twenty minutes later it becomes clear that fortune is about as far against you today as it could possibly ever get. Your bladder might be sufficiently relieved to last the next few hours, but until now you didn't even have any reason to consider the other possibility. Shifting uncomfortably in your seat, you slowly become aware of a downward pressure from your bowels, which heralds something really quite significant. What's more, it seems to be coming on fast. You might be able to hang on half an hour or so, but not the literal hours this journey still has to go.
You glance over at your father. He's made his position pretty clear by now, and you know any further requests are going to really flip him. Even if you could persuade him to pull over, it's not like this is something you can take care of at the roadside quite so casually. Glancing around the car, you're not even sure if there's so much as a packet of tissues, and looking at the wild roads ahead, there's no indication of any kind of service station that might provide respite.
"Uh... Dad..." you attempt nervously, at least to assess his mood.
"I swear to god, Daniel," he looks around at you, "if this is another bathroom request..."
"It's... not like you think..." you whimper plaintively.
"You're imagining things now," your father snaps. "Just think about something else. One more word, and I think we're going to have to find you a diaper for the rest of this trip."
