Breakfast

by: Fitzroy Clement Author IconMail Icon
The four of you descended the staircase to the main eating areas surround the main dining room. You said that you didn't want to draw too much attention to yourself in this body, and the guys agreed that they would rather keep you to themselves. You got yourself an two empanadas and some goat milk while everyone else ordered north of the border items.

"All right, we need something to call you" said Tony.

"Aaron will be fine."

"Erin? Is that OK with you guys?"

"We're Americans, dude, our names don't mean shit" added Jordan.

"Yeah, being named after a random celebrity doesn't invoke feelings of majesty, no matter how cool the celebrity." said Nick. "Do you want to keep your name, maybe change the spelling?"

"No, no. It's not even an option." Nick looked a little scared at the glare you gave him. You were looking a little deranged.

"Guys, do you think that we should see some ruins today?" you asked.

"Ladies first", said Tony discreetly.

You rolled your eyes at him, nervous because you hardly ever roll your eyes. "Where do you think my clothes came from?"

"Magic?" queried Nick. He was just as clueless as you were.

"Maybe we're in someone's sick story." This comment came from Jordan, and it hit close to home. It was the only thing that made sense to Aaron. There was no such thing as magic, no matter what Joanne Rowling or Jim Butcher told you. This was some horribe nightmare that you felt you would never find the truth about.

"The drinks. What about something in the drinks?"

"Yeah, that might work, Tony. But this is some hell of a way to get your date rape on. And it doesn't explain the missing clothes."

"Guess we'll have to hit the old dusty trail before we find out", said Jordan from across the table in a cryptic manner.

"What?"
