Daphne and Velma wanted to see if they could reverse what just happened to them. Velma was a little reluctant after getting a smoking body out of the deal (on top of her smarts), but wouldn't stay like this when Daphne doesn't benefit. Both girls activated the statue, and felt enveloped in the light.
