Kat had turned him into a mermaind. Two distinct things happened once he transformed. First off they were where nowhere near water and because Dan is just a young teenage boy his body could not handle being turned into a mermaind. Second while Kat stood their laughing she neglected to realize that Dan had actually turned into a more evil slithering creature, mkuch like a salamander. It seems that Kat still has a lot to learn about her so called powers.
Her only thought was to embarass her younger brother but what she again forgets is that her spells are still weak as she is only a young witch. Most of her spells wear off in a very short time. Now that he looked like a salamander he scampared off and hid in a close by coconut tree. He scurried up and waited hid from his sister waiting till it was dark to come down and since night time was only an hour away, it wasn't long till he was able to scurry down the tree. Once on the ground he felt his body contort in painful contractions shaking from side to side as his body stretched back out to normal size.
He laid on the ground in with just some leaves to cover his body because his clothes ripped apart in the transitions from different species. He sat still for a moment and thought about how he could get his sister back for what she keeps doing to him. His mother would never believe the nonsense as she calls it he tries to tell her. He had a great idea pop into his head, there was a chance he could get her back but he knew it had to be when everyone would see her in an embarassed state. That is the only way she would know just how hurtful it is of what she has been doing to him.
The chance he knew he could take was at the high school senior prom. He was only a sophmore but had access to the gymnasium because he was on the build team for shop class which was building the props for the prom. He had his chance, he got up and wrapped a plastic bag he found on the ground and ran for home as fast as he could. On his run he gathered his thoughts and came up with the perfect revenge to get Kat back and embarass her......
