This choice: Kat proves herself right • Go Back...Chapter #4Kat proves herself right by: Unknown Dan stood on the bed and shivered. He crawled his way over to the end of the sheets and tried to hop to the night stand next to it that contained an open magazine with giant pictures of...some pop star or another that Kat probably had a crush on. His jump brought him over to the nightstand but the damn magazine was slick and pulled itself and Dan to the floor a long way below.
Luckily, Kat's slippers cushioned his fall but the magazine landed on top of him. He was surprised at how much paper could hurt when he was the size of a human mouse.
"Damn," he said rubbing his head and looking around the room. Kat wasn't all that clean of a person, so the carpets looked more like a jungle of discarded clothes, papers, and make up products. For whatever reason, there was a Ken doll over by her closet, so Dan decided to make a beeline for his it. Not only was it uncomfortable being so small, but it didn't help that he was naked to boot!
"The least she could have done was shrink my clothes too," Dan mumbled to himself as he trudged through the thick carpet to the doll. He reached it in short order and began stripping it and throwing on the clothing. It was a bit large still, and he had to hold the waist of the pants with his left hand to keep them from falling off.
"Well that's one thing taken care of," he said feeling pleased. "Ha, want to please her my butt!"
He continued looking around the room in hopes that he may find something to use against her when she came back. With the door shut and the widows so far up...it didn't seem like he'd be escaping any time soon, so he might as well try and get back at her. His plan in mind, Dan found a few things and started to prepare when he heard a strange sound behind him.
Patricia, Kat's black cat, had woken up from a nap under the bed and was now crouched and staring right at Dan hungrily. The cat pounced and Dan threw the things he had gathered, for the prank, into the air and took off. The long pants slid down and halted his hasty retreat by tripping him right as Patricia's paw sailed over him.
"Crap," Dan said pulling on the pants and struggling back to his feet as the cat swerved back around. "HELP!!!"
Patricia's paw caught his little body on the second swing and sent him rolling across the carpet and into a bed post hard. Upside down and in pain Dan watched in horror as the cat sauntered over at batted him again. He went rolling again, but Patricia's other paw stopped him and sent him the other way. Dizzy, and with no more control over his body, Dan was forced to roll back and forth repeatedly.
Finally, the cat stopped and Dan tried in vain to regain alignment and dash for it, but a paw came down and trapped him against the carpet effortlessly.
"YOU'VE GOT TO BE KIDDING ME," Dan screamed at the cat, who didn't seem to care very much at all. Death by cat, Dan thought to himself, who would have seen that coming?
Suddenly a hand came down and pulled the cat away from him. It was like some sort of disturbing divine intervention, before he realized it was just Kat. "Are you ready to please me?" she asked smugly. "Or would you prefer to play with Patricia some more?"
"Alright fine you win," Dan said pulling the Ken-doll-pants back up. "What would you wish oh great master of terror?"
Dan was being sarcastic of course, but he could see a look of glee cross Kat's face. She put the cat down on the bed and then picked Dan up while humming to herself in thought.
"Good question," she said, "maybe I'd prefer a little sister instead of a little brother, or maybe I have another idea..."
