"Ha! Magic. That's the most ridiculous thing I've ever heard!" Dan guffawed.
"Fine then. Let's go to town," Kat said snootily.
"Fine. Let's go," Dan replied.
As the two walked to town, Dan noticed that a few people were staring at him and making baby faces at him. A couple with a small child walked up to them and started talking.
"Excuse us, but could our son play with your pet?" The woman asked.
Kat looked at Dan and smiled. "Of course," she replied happily.
"Yay!" Squealed the little boy. He wrapped his little arms around Dan's neck and got on his shoulders.
"I'm not a pet!" Dan exclaimed as he picked the boy off his shoulder.
"And you taught it to speak?! Remarkable!" Said the man.
"Yup. We're so happy he understands," Kat said deviously.
"Can you watch our son while we look around?" The woman asked.
"Sure," Kat replied.
"NO!" Dan shouted.
