    by: RaulMG Author IconMail Icon
Dan attempted walking into the house, but Kat stopped him before he could even reach the from door. Her eyes looked full of darkness, like a hungry wolf staring at its weakened prey. They stared at each other, making sure to keep a close view of one another. He decides to not continue on her little game, keeping in mind that his mother would know the truth. Deviously he came up with a quick plan, making sure not to give it away he continued to play along. Then, not long, he started screaming at the top of his lungs, yelling "MOM!" and "HELP!", which at first it caught her surprised. Kat panicked a little bit, but made sure to keep her cool to not show Dan that she was worried. Dan became quiet when he heard someone mumbling from inside the house, it was his mother.

"WHO IN THE HELL LET THAT DOG KEEP BARKING!" Dan could feel the sting within his heart, he could not believe what his mother had said. "Kat you better control Dan, before the neighbors make a complaint!"

Kat's face became evident of her new found achievement. Her smile became so wide, that there wasn't enough room on her face for it.

"Let me give you a little advice shit head," She said as she leaned forward to look him straight in the eyes. "Don't mess with me, and something else, this is permanent. So get used to it."

"But, Kat, please." Dan pleaded as much as he could, but his sister was cold, her stare became even more darker. As if something was inside of her, and he knew just how to find out, the book, but she had it so close to her, he knew that there had to be another way.

He made his way to the corner of the house, whimpering as he walked, but then quickly became distracted be his surroundings. The grass felt cool between his toes, and the wind felt most refreshing. He began feeling free, as if this new self he had been given was maybe the better of both endings.

'Maybe, this is my chance.' he thought, 'I feel free.'
