Alatar the "Blue wizard."

You had traveled to the East and came to Elrond to deliver disturbing news. The Nazgul were loose upon the land and you theorized that it could only be for one reason. The one ring had been found. You knew the shards of Narsil were in Imladris (Rivendell) and if the Dark Lord has the one right you knew only that blade had the potential to stop Sauron.

Of course you were ignorant of Bilbo and Frodo and the fate of the ring. You arrive right around the time of the council of Elrond.
