Helena wasn't surprised by the fact that only one set of the PPDs maintained Mara's mind, however she was a bit surprised that it stayed on the body side.
Mara's body felt around the lab trying to find her head. Helena's desire to study it prompted her to quickly grab it and move to the other side of the lab.
Helena found that Mara's head did not react to any stimuli whatsoever. Light, sound, & even a slap to the face did nothing.
"Well Mara, you always put your body over your mind. Now, that's all you have." Helena smirked as she went to remove the PPD. She turned the PPD off & slipped it off, revealing a smooth stump at the base of her neck. She then put Mara's head in a drawer and locked it.
She then decided to turn her attention to the athletic body of her test subject. Her blind movements as she tried to find her head caused a smile to creep across Helena's face. She loved the idea of Mara being so vulnerable and easy to dominate. Helena snuck up behind Mara, turned off her PPD, and removed it. Mara hand felt the fresh neck stump that now adorned her shoulders.
