You wake up to a light knock on your door. It is open so as soon as you fully open your eyes you see who it is. It seemed to be a Young police officer, about your Mom’s height but maybe in her early 20s. she seems to be quite comfortable with your presence and after a few minutes she walks over to address you. It is then you feel a pain in your mouth. The knife that the maid planted was still in deep. Sure it wasn’t bleeding anymore but it sure hurt.
“Hello there big guy, how are you?” she asks more as a formality. You open your mouth to speak but are sent to the ground by the intense pain of trying to speak with your wound. The officer sees this and instantly rushes over to assist. “What is it? Where does it hurt?” you are surprised that a stranger to you was so interested in a dragon’s well being. It almost seemed cheesy, but you didn’t care at this point. You opened your mouth sideways so she could clearly see the problem and walk in without climbing over your tongue. “Oh I see, brace yourself and keep your mouth open while I pull this out.” You give a painful moan to signify understanding then she grasped the knife. This hurt but not nearly as much as when she pulled it out. It hurt so much that you almost clamped your mouth shut but held off as your quickly rose your head so the officer with the knife were no longer in danger then with one loud roar you let out a burst of flame out the already missing ceiling. The act had seemed to score the wound shut before it could bleed any further. Then when you regained your composer you turned your attention to the slightly freaked out officer holding the knife.
“Thanks a lot. Ever sense yesterday I have had that thing in there, driving me crazy.” You said as she calms down. “And every time I wake up my family is gone. Nuts!”
“Yes your mother allowed me in here on her way to work a few moments ago. I was walking around the neighborhood asking if you had seen the maids that went missing. But judging by this knife in your mouth I would say that is a stupid question.” She said slightly off kilter. You couldn’t tell if she was suspicious or anxious. Either way you thought it best to let her make the next move.“Finding this here as one of their personal effects there is only one thing to say…”
