Dusk set over the hills over looking the small valley town of Mocking bird Heights. A gentle cool wind blew leaves across the streets and into the yards of the citizens. One such house, was regarded as an eyesore to the community, and has at least a couple times been condemned, however when the city counsel found there were people living in this house, and that they indeed had a valid deed for the house and property, the city decided to save the house.
A green van drives down the road on Mocking bird lane, it spits and sputters as it pulls in front of the creepy old mansion. A young man sandy blond hair, and a goatee, looks out the windshield at the old house. He shivers as he glares at the knurled weeping willow, its branches void of its usual long vines. Shutters banged in the wind, creaking as they moved.
"Zoinks Scooby, what a creepy old house. I bet no one has lived there for a hundred years" Shaggy commented.
"Yeah yeah!" Scooby Doo said agreeing.
Just as Shaggy stepped on the accelerator, the van stopped, its engine dies. Shaggy twisted the key and attempted to start the engine, but it would not turn over.
"Oh this is lovely, on the worst night with the rain falling outside, and we are in front of the most creepiest house, yikers. Maybe there is a phone in there we can call a tow." Shaggy suggested.
Scooby dived under a blanket in the back of the van and began to shake, and his tail stuck out straight as a rod out the end of the blanket. "Na ah.. row ray!" his teeth chattering.
Shaggy smiled, "oh Scoob, you know if you are brave, there is a snack in it for you, maybe there might be something left in the cupboards that we can eat."
They both reluctently climbed out of the van, looking around, and rushed to the front door.
