Chapter #3

Your Breed...

    by: Shalion Author IconMail Icon
Ah, The glory of battle! Surely there is no better way to make a name for one's self than vanquishing your opponents. But where your rivals are blood-thirsty, you understand there is no honor to be won in slaughtering the weak.

Now the fun begins! What breed of dragon are you?

The Geminate Drake: They say that two is better than one and this is a truth with which you are intimately familiar. As a Geminate drake, you have never had to worry about being alone because, as with all members of your breed, you were born as a twin. Geminate drakes reproduce in twos, no more, no less and each set of twins is intimately linked throughout their lives. The depth of the connection is such that Geminate twins are often referred to as a singular being and the custom is to have a single name consisting of two parts for each pair of drakes (for instance, a set of twins might be named Mal’Drak with one twin being named Mal and the other named Drak). Pairs of Geminate drakes are usually inseparable; they hunt together, sleep together, live together and usually take mates together. All of this is due to a strong mental link between each dragon, the strength of the link varies from pair to pair ranging from the simple sending and receiving of messages to merger on the extent that it seems that there is a single entity occupying two bodies. Sibling rivalry is rare to the point of extinction, but famous cases have emerged in history; always it has ended in tragedy. Geminate drakes can typically be found roosting in mountain ranges, the dryer the clime, the better. As for size, the typical drake tends to be on the large size, dwarfing land bound beasts and mortals. While not exceedingly strong or fast or possessing fiery breath of significant note, your strongest strength lies in your constant companion and your ability to fight as the ultimate tag-team.

The Regal Bronze: One of the largest casts of dragon, you tower over your opponents on the field of battle and have the force of well toned muscle behind each of your massive blows. You are called regal for your long legs and tall stature, you carry your head high and proud when you grace the land with your presence. Your kind are mortal enemies of Deathwings (but then again, who isn't?). Your brawn and their speed are evenly matched. While it isn't necessarily truth, the appearance of battling the Deathwings has given your kind a vaguely chivalrous reputation, a reputation that many individuals chose to uphold on their own. Your tail ends in a serrated arrow-head that is capable of slicing through fully grown trees and of course, your hide comes in only one color, a luminous bronze.

The Golden Mane: A strange looking dragon from a foreign land, you are the only dragon possessed of hair, a full mane that is always a shimmering golden color. Your elongated body is rather like a serpent and forshortened wings are used mainly for maneuvering through the air rather than to generate lift. You stay aloft rather by segmented hydrogen gas chambers lining both sides of your snake-like body. Thus you have potentially the most available fire out of any breed, but using up your gas also decreases your ability to fly... Your limbs and claws are small compared to the size of your body, but that's ok because your method of hunting is to coil around your prey and constrict the life out of it. Your kind is noted for a particular like of pearls, especially large ones.

You have the following choices:

1. The Geminate Drake

2. The Regal Bronze

3. The Golden Mane
