It was strange, Sandra had never had a cigarette before but she had seriously enjoyed the one she had been given by Emma. She had slipped it into her purse and started to walk to class, not even thinking about it.
Along the way to class Sandra noticed something strange, there were teachers who were having a smoke break, this school had a strict non-smoking policy for teachers but she saw at least three of them enjoying themselves with a smoke. She even saw Emma talking to Mrs. Hildesheim, who she had a class with later that day, she would have to ask her about the smoking before class started.
It was at this moment that Sandra noticed she had been thinking about smoking near non-stop since she had gotten up. While her smoking was a strange, her near obsession was more strange.
She arrived at the building of her next class, Trigonometry, and walked inside and sat down next to Paige, a friend she had in high school. Paige was a year younger than her, the pair had been in TSA together and while Sandra could pass as not a nerd, Paige could not. Paige had large glasses and an annoying laugh that she tried to get rid of, but couldn't.
When Sandra sat down Paige sniffed the air, "do you smell something, burning?" Paige asked Sandra.
"I don't know what you mean", Sandra lied, while she had no problem with Emma knowing she smoked, Emma was a smoker when she started, even if she wasn't now, Paige hated smoking.
The teacher, Mrs. Copper then walked in. Mrs. Copper was an older teacher, around seventy years old, with white hair. She was not the best teacher if you didn't do your homework, but her heart was in the right place. Following the teacher, many other students came in.
