After playing for a little while, you decided to swap some more with Jerry, his diapers and apparel seemed to be the best choice. You walked over to his room and swap him still napping. You pointed your device at him when you realized that wearing his clothes (and his diapers) didn't interest you. Jerry never cared what he wore and didn't have any real attachment to diapers. It was just what Mom dressed him in.
What you did want was more toys with a Blues Clues theme. You had a poster in your room, it was your favorite, but you couldn't remember any toys like that. Mom hadn't bought you any. If it had been up to Jerry (before the swap) he would have gotten a Blues Clues plushy and other stuff. Why mom hadn't bought 'you' more, you didn't know. But unlike Jerry, you were old enough to buy some things that you liked. There were some restrictions that your mom would not allow, but you knew if you wanted something and could afford it, you could usually buy it.
You left Jerry's room and headed toward the front door.
"Where are you going, Jason?" Mom asked.
"Just to the mall. I want to get something.
"OK, be home before dinner."
"Yeah, Mom."
Getting to the mall wasn't easy. You weren't old enough to drive and the mall was some distance away. You were old enough to take the bus though. You walked to the bus stop and waited. You wondered if anyone would think it was odd what you were doing. If anyone saw you with the Blues Clues & You! Dance-Along Blue Plush' they would probably think you were buying it for your little brother.
Then you thought again, you had swapped interests with Jerry. Maybe that would change reality such that people would think it was normal for you to like toddler toys and activities. You weren't sure.
