You unlock this door with the key of imagination. Beyond it is another dimension: a dimension of sound, a dimension of sight, a dimension of mind. You're moving into a land of both shadow and substance, of things and ideas. You've just crossed over into... the Twilight Zone.
Our story tonight takes place in a small town, practically identical to hundreds of other small towns like it all across the country. The people are friendly, the schools clean and well-run, and there's nothing much for anyone to be afraid of. That is, until now.
A small field, on the outskirts of town. During the summer, groups of children will play unorganized games of baseball and football here. However, tonight, just after the stroke of midnight, what appeared to be a shooting star, a meteorite, crashed into the field. No one in town saw it; after all, everyone was curled up asleep. A scientist at an observatory sixty miles away noticed it, but paid it little attention, as the size of the object was barely large enough to be detected. And only when it was resting on the ground was its glow noticeable, and even then, only at night.
Of course, having come from the heavens, the object was literally out-of-this world. But it didn't start to have an effect until a few days later...
