A D&D dropping to the floor

Almost at the same instant that you hear a piece of candy fall through the bag, you along with the rest of the contents slip through and crash into the ground. You land down beside Miranda's shoe, while the rest of the pieces go rolling in every direction. You see Miranda's foot begin to move and instinctively grab onto her shoelace, which moves along with her foot, which would've smashed you into the floor had you not acted so quickly.

You could see now that it was going to take a lot just to stay alive. But, could you trust this Miranda girl enough to try getting her attention? Or, should you play safe and hide for now? You could also run away, if that seemed like the best option.
