It's been about ten years since the wolves made contact with Earth. After some initial tensions, a sort of treaty had been reached between wolves and humans. The wolves would be granted their own lands to live on, which had mostly been uninhabited previously by humans, and could attend the same facilities alongside humans as they pleased. In exchange, the wolves would share their technology with humanity, which had resulted in leaps in such fields as medical, entertainment and military technology, among others.
Of course, not all humans were so accepting of this deal, a few handfuls of them even formed groups and movements specifically for restricting and in some cases downright persecuting the extraterrestrials.
