Jason wasn't a particularly buff or intelligent man, nor was he very skinny or stupid. All his life, he had fallen into the category of "average" in pretty much everything he'd ever done. He had average grades in school, an average paying job, even an average apartment that was neither fancy nor a slum. He didn't really think of it much, but subconsciously he kind of wish he could be at least slightly more than average in just one thing. Anything at all.
That's why when he had saw who his date for the evening was at the restaurant he was supposed to meet them at, he silently thanked whatever higher power that may have been watching, for granting him this one chance to have a love that was far beyond what one might consider "average". The instant he saw her, his mouth dropped open in an almost cartoonish way, and all he could do was stand there and unknowingly stare at the absolutely gorgeous specimen of a woman that sat at the bar, sipping on a martini.
On a whim, he had signed up with this blind date service, hoping to find a companion for his rather lonely life. By pure random chance, he had been set up with this bombshell of a lady, who just happen to be a member of the race of wolves that had arrived on earth a decade prior. She wore a Jessica Rabbit style dress, which accented her snow white fur wonderfully. Her eyes were a crystal blue, and sparkled like diamonds, while her figure was enough to make a Playboy model jealous. Her tail protruded from the back of her dress, just above her shapely posterior and curled upwards like that of a husky, while her long legs reached down to the floor from the barstool she sat on. She wore no shoes, as wolf feet had never been intended for such apparel.
All in all, she was practically a goddess on Earth, seemingly either ignoring or pretending to ignore the longing gazes she was getting from all directions by men wolf and human alike. After he finally regained his senses, Jason gathered his courage and approached her. "Hello." He said. She turned and smiled, showing stunning white teeth. "You must be Jason." She said, her voice as smooth and soft as velvet.
"Yes. You must be Vanessa." They shook hands, and Vanessa invited him to sit beside her. Jason order a glass of brandy, and they began to get aquatinted with each other. Before long, to Jason's surprise, Vanessa said... indicates the next chapter needs to be written. |
