Elle's maid of honor, her best friend Amanda, swooped into the bride to be's hotel room, brandishing an unusually wrapped box. Amanda said she'd found it at the front desk addressed to Elle and Evan, but she didn't know who had left it. She set it on the nightstand and roused her best friend and cousin, Elle.
Elle was marrying Evan, her boyfriend of three years. Elle slowly woke, and after a shower, she felt fresh and ready for her hair and makeup to be done. Her stylist swooped in and set Elle in front of the bathroom mirror and immediately went to work. About two painstaking hours later, Elle felt amazing, and listened as her bridesmaids oohed and aahed over her hair and makeup. Her mother entered, crying at how beautiful her baby girl was. Elle was getting into her dress as her fiancé was nervously pacing his separate room.
Evan had been incredibly nervous, and barely was able to get a full night's sleep. His bachelor party had been two days ago, but he still felt like he was recovering. It had been a wild, drunken night, and he wasn't even sure what he'd done with his friends.
He desperately wanted everything to go right, and he wanted the day to be perfect for Elle. It took all he had to not peek in her room and see the madness he knew was going on. Elle would kill him if he looked at her dress before though, she was traditional like that. He didn't even know what the dress looked out. Pulling out his phone, he sent her a quick text that read, "I love you baby," and headed down to the lobby. The church was down the street, and he had to be over there in just half an hour.
While Evan waited anxiously at the church, greeting the guests as they filed in, Elle was left with her mom and Amanda while her bridesmaids headed over to line up for the procession. Elle simply loved her gown, and wished she knew how she looked in it.
She got ready to leave when she noticed the unusual gift still sitting on her nightstand. Handing it to her mother to add to the gift table, she wistfully said, "I just wish I knew how I'm going to look coming down the aisle to Evan. He'll love it, won't he?"
