The light-wall in front of Obi-Wan Kenobi blazed shut and he skidded to a halt, just managing to stop before being incinerated by the laser barrier. He watched helplessly as his master, Qui-Gon Jinn, dueled the tattooed Sith alone. Qui-Gon was visibly tiring, but staying with the Sith step for step. The Sith brought the hilt of his double-bladed lightsaber up against the Jedi Master's face in an attempt to leave Qui-Gon's midsection defenseless. Just as the Sith thrust his blade in for the kill, Qui-Gon regained his focus and side-stepped, spinning his blade and cutting the Sith down. Frozen for a moment in stunned surprise, the Sith fell backward, into the reactor core shaft, his torso splitting in half as he fell. The laser barrier confining Obi-Wan vanished as Qui-Gon collapsed, thoroughly exhausted.
