Josh makes Sean a few years older

He knew Sean would know immediately Josh's new power if he made Sean a little older. Not too much older, of course. Not an adult, not 18, not 16, or 14. Josh made up his mind and decided 3 more years would be more than enough for Sean to notice.

"Okay, Sean," he said, "this is going to feel a little weird..."

"Huh?" asked Sean, "What do you mean?" His voice sounded funny, deeper than usual. "Why do I sound so funny?" Sean's voice sounded even deeper and more strange. Sean stood up and the floor seemed to be moving away from him. "Josh, what's going on?" His voice cracked when he said 'on'.

"There, all done," said Josh with a nod.

Sean looked at himself, hardly believing his own eyes. He walked to his full-body mirror and looked himself over. He was shocked at what he saw. Sean looked older, more grown up, than before by a lot. His hair was a darker brown than before. He had an Adam's Apple sticking out of his neck. He felt stronger than before and... taller.

Josh was glad he'd made Sean's clothing adjust to fit his now teenaged friend. Josh had always been tall for his age and thus Sean had been a few inches shorter than him for as long as the two had known eachother. Now, however, Sean was several inches taller. It looked like he'd grown a whole foot, from 4 foot 9 to 5 foot 9. "Josh..." began Sean. His adolesent voice surprised him so much he held his throat. "Josh, what's happened to me? I think I've grown up more than a little just now!"

"I did it, Sean," said Josh with a knowing smile, "I made you 13 years old."
