Welcome to Gate City a city that has more sides then one. Will you save it or destroy it. |
| (This story is actually an idea I had for a Video Game. I hope you like it.) Introduction Welcome to Gate City. It is your typical Metropolis with tall buildings, busy shopping plazas, and lots of people. However this city holds a huge secret. Long ago this city was a part of a huge inter dimensional research project nicknamed The Gate Project. The Gate project allowed people to travel to many dimensions. The project was successful and Gate City was the center of inter dimensional activity. But one day someone had opened a portal to a very dangerous dimension and unleashed terrible monsters called Antis. This forced the researchers to pull the plug on the Gate Project and they wiped everyone’s memory to make it as if it never happened. However despite the most of the portals being removed ripples in space keep some of these gateways open. The Gate researchers knew that some portals could not be closed and that they could not keep things from getting though so they started a secret group of individuals called the Inter dimensional Patrol (IDP for short) to eliminate monsters and keep the peace. Years later things seem rather normal but a ripple is starting to form and more monsters are beginning to leak though. With the a new threat approaching the IDP needs someone who can help them stand up to this and that someone is you! You take the role of a human(or some other Dimensional being) that gets tangled into this mess and then is called to help the IDP battle the Antis and help figure out what is going on with the ripple, or you can become the enemy of the IDP and try to dominate the world your choice. There are many races you can become. Here are some examples. Human: A person from the normal dimension or the parallel dimension. Despite the fact that most had there memories wiped many are aware of portals that are in the city. The Gate researchers are capable of giving Humans Super powers. Anthro: A Half Human Half Animal being from the Were Dimension. Despite there terrifying appearance most Anthros are peaceful and a good number of anthros actually live in the normal dimension thanks to special cloaking devices. Anthros are capable of Superhuman strength, speed, and senses. Myth: Myths (short for Mythical) are unique creatures that live in a Dimension called the Fantasy Realm. Some examples of Myths Include Dragons, Kitsuns, Pegasus, and centaurs. Myths are able to use special mystical powers that normal people can’t do. Anti: Antis are evil monsters from the Negative Dimension. Antis are created by negative emotions from Humans and Creatures from all dimensions and they feed of negative aura to grow stronger. Antis use the power of true evil to destroy everything that stands in their way. What side will you chose? Dimensions Gate Dimension: A ground-zero for ripples to other dimensions, Gate City acts as a homepoint for our dimension, and what we effectively call our world and our Earth. Naturally consisting entirely of humans, our home is the main hub of access to other dimensions and their worlds. The IDP’s base of operations is within Gate City, acting as the military force and social service in an effort to unite and protect dimensions from opposing threats. While the focus is to eradicate the Anti threat that plagues every dimension, the IDP also assists with foreign-dimension issues that threaten the stability of peace. Commander William Gideon currently leads the IDP with a multitude of divisions that operate across all dimensions in hopes to make the universe a safer place. Opposite of the IDP however is the Aegis Foundation; an all-human and pro-human military force and science division, in which they also wish to eradicate the Anti threat, but refuse to abide by the laws and alliances of outside dimensions. They are led by ‘Grand Queen’ Alexandria Hightower, in which human military units are regarded to chess pieces or grand-rank chess pieces. i.e. Bishops, Knights, Rooks to Grand Bishops, Grand Knights, Grand Rooks. Pawns for instance are typically foreign dimension beings that are collared and brainwashed into obedience for the Aegis Foundation agenda. Anthro Dimension: A world much like our own, but populated entirely by anthropomorphic animals. Their level of technology is similar and consistent with ours, but with a greener approach to city and community design, making it habitable for all kinds of species to coexist. Environmental friendly and diverse, the Anthro Dimension and its urban environments have societal improvements compared to humans, but it does have its antagonistic factions to cause distress. Primal, a private military company that’s entirely made of anthros, have a vendetta against the IDP. They believe anthro-problems should only have anthro-solutions. While they are specifically made to fight the Anti threat, they have also waged war with the IDP in order to cease human operations in their dimension, refusing to have outside influence decide the fate of their world or government. Terrorist and criminal organizations are also plentiful, such as HAVOK as an example; a large group made up of animals that are naturally toxic or venomous. Be it their skin being dangerous to the touch or animal species that have poor living conditions out of a bias, these anthro beings and their sympathizers act out violently against the law and IDP. Normally anthros with a natural poison must take a medication to suppress the production of it for the public safety of others, but members of HAVOK would disagree quite harshly that anything is ‘wrong’ with them. Some members of HAVOK are junkies that will do whatever work or crimes needed of them in exchange of receiving some of the poisons that have narcotic effects like drugs, effectively giving the addicts their fix. They are led by a poison dart frog of the same tagline, Havoc, posing the aftermath of his terrorism as ‘art pieces’, even if it involves posing his poisoned victims for his macabre calling card. Mythic Dimension: A dimension also referred to as the ‘Fantasy Realm’, it is a place out of the mythos and storybooks familiar to Earth’s, but with entire races and species being mythological creatures and characters, such as anubis, kitsune, unicorns, minotaurs, gryphons, orcs, zombies, demons, angels, goblins, slimes, dragons, yokai, etc. Mythic humans are also very prevalent in this dimension, being much like our humans but with a stronger and more likely attachment to magic. Magic is the most prevalent here, with elements, spell casting, summonings, and enchanted items of all kinds. There are many countries of the Mythic Dimension, each with their own unique governments and biomes. Many species of all types live in most nations, but some have their specific exclusions for one reason or another. Such examples would be Draconia, the Dragon Kingdom, a medieval setting that would be considered a ‘general fantasy’ setting for us. The monarchy here is led by dragons and anthropomorphic dragons known as dragonfolk or dragonborn. There is the coastal and eastern nation of Ryuto, which would be compared to something close to Japan’s biomes and mythos. The desert nation of Kohshna, having plenty of Egyptian, Indian, and Arabian mythos. Bandits, monsters, factions at war between nations or city-states. There are many dangers in the Mythic Dimension, and the IDP occasionally gets wrapped up in the politics of them, much to the displeasure of plenty. Cybertech Dimension: A cybernetic futuristic dimension quite similar to ours, but propelled with advanced technology. Mega-cities take up most of the population, in which humans have advanced themselves with a transhumanist ideal to surpass their flesh with upgrades and cybernetics. However over time, the division of machine and humanity was blurred so much, citizenship became autonomized. AI programs and companies produce citizens via robotic beings with advanced AI, similar to that of human beings of past’s time. The world has become a function, and there are less humans than robotic beings. Humans of this world are called Techian humans, whereas robotic beings are Techian Droids. Droids come in all shapes and sizes, sometimes humanoid or bipedal, or entirely on wheels, multiple nonstandard limbs, or even magnetic propulsions to keep them afloat. Techian Droids are built to suffice whatever their function to society is. Techian Humans are enticed to still upgrade themselves, if not to compete against the droid-led cities and workplaces, but also to survive and compete in criminal acts. It is easily compared to a cyberpunk setting. Anti Dimension: The place in which the Anti originate from. The Anti being completely silhouetted creatures made of a tar-like slime, with read eyes and multiple types of shapes and functions. They are built off of the negative emotions of people from all dimensions. Not much is known about this place due to its hostile nature, but the world is a dark biome with crimson horizons, falling ash or oil, and even pitch black nights without a flicker of light. Anti monsters are born infinitely of this place, using the ripped tears of dimensions to invade other worlds and wreak havoc or corrupt victims into adding to their numbers. It is unknown if there is a true mastermind behind the Anti, but some beings are converted and take control of the Anti, using them for their own selfish needs. One such person is a human man that simply goes by the title of Negative. His plans tend to involve bestowing as much panic in a controlled area at a time. Fractured Dimension: Another unknown setting, it is theorized to be a dimension that is a shared collection of other dimensions, all twisted and corrupted to be nothing but pure chaos. Comparably, it is a place of horrors. One portal into it can leave you falling infinitely in pitch black darkness, another can lead you to a familiar place in your memories but with an entity out to steal your body, or you could appear inside of a phone booth with a call going off that you pick up, only to hear your own death through the speaker. Beings or strange and otherworldly powers are from this confusing place, as well as objects that have some kind of paranormal effect. It’s a place one could say ‘SCP’s and paranormal horrors thrive’. It is impossible to research with how inconsistent this place is, with some researchers calling it a ‘limbo dimension’. If one finds themselves inside the Fractured Dimension, it is unlikely they will ever escape it. Archaic Dimension: A dimension that is close to our prehistoric times, but also a place in which anthropomorphic versions of long-extinct animals exist. From dinosaurs to ancient mammals and sea creatures, the Archaic Dimension features a tribal setting where the most technology they have is what they can craft with the surrounding wildlife and land. Spears, bow and arrows, basic farming; Archaics get by here within their small communities, usually made up entirely of their own race. However, they are common to have in-fighting, on top of rivalries with competing tribes for food, land, and resources. There is an IDP transition program in which some Archaics have willingly left their tribes in order to join the IDP to learn our customs, technology, and world goals. In exchange, the IDP has set up some stations in this realm to help slowly adapt the Archaics in bettering their technology and sustainability, by a tribe’s permission. They won’t, however aid them with tribal disputes and teach them of modern weaponry to not stoke more conflict. Unfortunately, the IDP presence alone is enough to have them distrust the IDP and assault these support outposts. The lands of this dimension also vary, from wide jungles to distant savannahs, to volcanic mountains, and even frigid ice-age tundras. Chronicler Dimension: A dimension that observes all other dimensions and timelines. It is a pocket dimension that consists of large white-cloaked figures in faceless masks, where they all infinitely work in the Great Library. There, they scribe all the events they observe through reflections of mirrors throughout the Great Library, jotting all of history and potential outcomes. It is unknown why Chroniclers do this, and very few people even know the dimension exists, let alone can access to it. Rules You may take the story in any way you want, but I do have a few small rules. 1: When you make your character please leave an option for a new character. 2: You may make your own Race and Dimension if you want. 3: You can have crossovers from Anime, Video Games, and TV. 4: [Edit] Vore is now allowed. 5: [Edit] Sexual content is allowed with the exclusion of minors.
